{and one, and two, and STOP!}

Guys, be wary of girls' feet. Especially bare feet. ESPECIALLY if it's during a dance. For all of our sakes.

I wanted to share a story with all of you, and a few of you girls will probably be able to relate... and a few of you guys will probably cringe.

This past weekend, I went to a contra dance. I thought I would have a great time! Get out of the house for a couple of hours, visit with some great people, let go of some energy... It'd be amazing, and the first two hours were!............. But then, the square dance came.

I will never be able to dance another square dance again.

My partner and I started out pretty well. We danced for the first few minutes, and everything was fine! And then, as we were heading around the square that our group was making, he decided to start dancing on my foot... Not that he meant to or anything! But he went on, so I decided to go ahead around and keep dancing. We went another few rounds, and the adrenaline had masked the slight burning I had felt when he had stomped on me. Then, someone turned and looked at the floor and exclaimed

"WOW! Who died?!"

Can you guess what happened?

Well, the girl next to me says "Yeah, Haley, you're bleeding!"

I looked down, and sure enough... My toe had been gushing more blood than I personally thought could come from my toe, especially without my noticing it! Another boy from my group took me to the back where we found the first aid kit, while the rest of the people (and a few others besides) started wiping up all the blood.

Now, I'm fine. Just to make sure that's clear. I've had to sit out the past two dance classes that I've had, and the stairs have become my new enemy - along with shoes. But all in all, it was good for a laugh.

So in conclusion to this story, guys be careful of girls' feet. Especially bare feet. ESPECIALLY if it's during a dance. For all our sakes - but mine in particular.

Be blessed in your endeavors,
tinydancer
